NP Legislative Initiative

Help shape Texas Legislation for Nurse Practitioners!  The 84th Texas Legislative Regular Session is currently underway and your representatives need to hear from you on important issues. Propositions this session include policy amendments to allow APRNs to declare death and sign jury duty exemptions for physical or mental impairment.  In addition, Representative Cecil Bell, Jr. has agreed to file a full practice bill on behalf of TNP.  Now, more than ever, it is important for Nurse Practitioners in Texas to make our voices heard in Austin!  We encourage all members to contact your state representative and advocate for these initiatives.  Attached you will find talking points which may assist you in the discussion.  HCAPNPAA will provide updates with specific bill information as it is made available.  You may also find more information on Texas Nurse Practitioners' website at www.texasnp.org
