URGENT RESPONSE NEEDED

****URGENT RESPONSE NEEDED******. 

Tonight, KXAN in Austin posted a story titled "Nurse practitioners fight to have more authority in Texas. Why that worries doctors" (link to story below).  While we are very proud of the Nurse Practitioners featured for the piece, the story disparages Nurse Practitioners and provides unsubstantiated claims by physicians that APRNs pose a direct risk to patient safety if left unsupervised. 

PLEASE, take a moment to respond by emailing the station, responding to their Facebook or Twitter page, etc.  We need to let them know Nurse Practitioner are well-educated professionals who provide high quality, affordable, and accessible care for our community members.  We need to hold them accountable for providing ACCURATE, UNBIASED reporting!  Please repost, resent, and share this message!
